In addition to resistance training with free weights, machines, kettlebells, and bands, our clients may perform body weight exercises, Pilates, and yoga. Clients may also engage in cardiovascular-interval training; stability, balance and flexibility training; as well as HIIT and plyometrics. Our clients have ranged in age from 10 to 80 years old. We train clients in their homes, in multiple DFW gyms, outdoors and virtually.
Hello. I'm Michael Hall, owner and certified personal trainer for Uptown Training. I have been involved with various aspects of health and fitness for over 35 years, beginning in elementary school and continuing through high school where I participated in competitive basketball, track, and football. I later received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Houston, became a physical therapy technician, and I was certified as a personal trainer in 2007.
I believe in living a balanced lifestyle, and that it's important to design a workout program that fits the individual. The program must be realistic, and since every individual’s lifestyle is different, the program must fit the individual’s specific goals and needs. These can change as one’s life changes, and I feel a personal trainer should always be aware of this. Although sacrifices must be made to get and stay healthy, I feel that life is short and that, oftentimes, moderating “bad” behavior is better than giving up all of the things that we enjoy.
